Parenthood Preservation Foundation is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under the IRS tax code 501(c)(3). Our foundation was started in 2025 with the purpose to assist individuals struggling with infertility costs not covered by insurance.
Only 15 states in the U.S. mandate that insurers cover some fertility treatments, and only two additional states mandate an offer of at least one insurance plan covering some infertility services. Lack of policy is now leaving those needing fertility assistance to pay out of pocket, costs that range from $15,000 to $30,000. In 2022 over 90,000 babies were born from IVF with an additional 29,000 women seeking fertility preservation (up 61% from 2009) in the United States. These numbers alone show the widespread nature of fertility challenges as well as a growing need for a charity like ours. It has been found that the largest concern related to fertility treatments is the cost; causing those individuals to either go into debt, delay treatments, or not pursue parenthood at all.
With this in mind we started our charity to make and provide grants to help cover out of pocket costs associated with fertility treatments, fertility preservation, when medically necessary, including medications and egg, sperm, embryo, and reproductive tissues freezing/storing/monitoring, adoption fees in certain cases, as well as emergency funds to individuals with an immediate need for fertility medications, medical equipment, tests, and other items not covered by insurance that would interrupt fertility treatments. Additionally, we are adding a grant to assist those who have already incurred debt due to fertility treatments and associated costs.
We believe that parenthood is not a privilege, it is a human right rooted in love, care, and the preservation of future generations.
